Market town by the coast.
New Romney sits at the heart of Romney Marsh, combining a traditional town centre with easy access to wide-open countryside, neighbouring villages and the Kent coast.
The High Street provides a useful mix of independent shops, cafés, pubs and everyday amenities, while the surrounding Marsh is known for its big skies, walking routes, nature reserves and distinctive landscape. The beach at Littlestone is also just a short distance away, making it easy to enjoy coastal life without living in a busy seaside town.
New Romney also has a rich history. Once an important medieval port and one of the original Cinque Ports, the town still retains plenty of character, including historic buildings and St Nicholas Church.
